Ballyhoo! Announce New Album – Out June 25th

Ballyhoo!

BALTIMORE, MD, May 7, 2013 – The reggae/rock band Ballyhoo! has announced they will release their new album Pineapple Grenade on June 25th. Pre-order for digital and physical copies will begin Tuesday, May 14th. iTunes pre-order will include 2 bonus tracks. Physical pre-order will include 1 free song and t-shirt bundling options. For more information, visit: www.ballyhoorocks.com.

Lead singer/ guitarist Howi Spangler sees the new 14-track album as a step forward for the band in many ways, including a new track produced by Rome Ramirez (Sublime with Rome) and mixed by Paul Leary (U2, Sublime). “Pineapple Grenade! is more chill than Daydreams [2011] but the songs still hit pretty hard in other ways. We got to play around with guitar tones and different sounds – I love that we try new things with each release.”

Ballyhoo! also announces today they are now sold out of all Gold Certificates via The New York Rock Exchange for the new exclusive acoustic song “Lost At Sea.” Silver certificates are still available but for a limited time only and can be purchased at: https://newyorkrockexchange.com/share/ballyhoo/lost_at_sea

Announced last month, Ballyhoo! will co-headline the 2013 Summer Sickness Tour with Authority Zero and special guests Versus The World. The 2-month trek kicks off May 31 in Tempe, AZ and includes 40+ shows across 27 states spanning from California to Canada to Florida.

Pineapple Grenade is Ballyhoo!’s first new album since releasing Daydreams in the Fall of 2011, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and #4 on Amazon. The success of Daydreams led the band to navigate their most successful year yet, playing 166 shows in 2012 including the Vans Warped Tour, the 311 Caribbean Cruise in 2012 and 2013Bamboozle, and a national tour with Tribal Seeds. Ballyhoo!’s fanbase continues to grow through steadfast touring, leading to the band to reach #1 on SiriusXM Faction.

Ballyhoo!’s relaxed sound mixed with the band’s energetic performance style has been gaining a reputation on the national alternative radio scene as well. Highlights of Ballyhoo!’s 2012 radio play include: HFS Baltimore, WWDC Washington DC, SiriusXM Faction, WRFF Philadelphia, KUCD Honolulu, KRAB Bakersfield, WEND Charlotte, WARQ Columbia, KITS San Francisco, WJRR Orlando, WRKN New Orleans, KFMA Tucson, WRRV Hudson Valley, WXDX Pittsburgh, WSUN Tampa, and KDJE Little Rock.
