Betty White joins the cast of FOX’s Bones

Betty White will join the cast of FOX’s Bones in October as one of the newest interns, known as ‘Squints.’

The actress has been a television favorite for many years since she starred in The Mary Tyler Moore Show. She has extensive credits in radio, film, television and stage.  She is probably best known for her role in The Golden Girls and more recently Hot in Cleveland. In addition to her acting roles, Betty White is also an author and producer.

Bones stars David Borenaz, Emily Deschanel, Michaela Conlin, TJ Thyne, Tamara Taylor and John Boyd as a group of FBI agents and forensic anthropologists using clues discovered from the remains of victims to solve murders.

As several actors recur on an episode by episode basis as squints, White will probably be in only a handful of episodes this season.

It will be interesting to see White’s character interact with Emily Deschanel’s Dr. Temperance Brennan, who as viewers know doesn’t have much of a scene of humor. How will the newest squint fare against her very serious boss?

With this new part, this award-winning actress doesn’t seem to be retiring from the profession anytime soon.
