Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Although he was also an actor, it’s his musical legacy for which he is most remembered. With such songs as Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender, Presley’s established sound influenced a generation. Additionally, his dance moves were copied by teenagers all over the world.
