Cover Wars: What Do You Mean

“What Do You Mean” is Justin Bieber’s newest single and it’s the first single from his upcoming fourth studio album. The song was released on August 28, 2015 after being announced one month earlier on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. Bieber along with his manager Scooter Braun crafted a huge social media campaign counting down the days to the song’s release, featuring celebrities and artists like Kendall Jenner, Halsey, Meghan Trainor, Gigi Hadid, Big Sean, and Martha Stewart.

The track is a great follow-up to Justin’s feature on Jack Ü’s song ” Where Are U Now.” This song is definitely catchy, and while it starts slow it eventually turns into this banging song that fans have come to love and anticipate from Bieber. “What Do You Mean” was performed for the first time at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, with the music video being released after the show.

After Bieber’s break from music and major live performances I can’t wait to see what he does now with this new album. If this track is any sign of it, I think I’m going to like.
