Former Twinning Contestant Ginamarie Russo is Arthritis Foundation Honoree

images (1) Russo has been announced as an honoree at the To a Commitment Cure Awards Reception of the Long Island branch of the Arthritis Foundation being held on October 29.

The former Twinning contestant was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at the age of 12.

Juvenile Arthritis attacks the joints and musculoskeletal system. More children are affected with this disease than both juvenile diabetes and cystic fibrosis. Children with juvenile arthritis may find it difficult and painful to run, throw a ball or even hold a pencil. Most forms of juvenile arthritis are autoimmune conditions. Unfortunately, at present time, there is no known cure.

The benefit dinner helps to support the foundation’s mission of education and research in the fight for a cure. It will include an auction.
