The Starting Line’s fans are in for a sweet treat next year. The pop-punk band from Philadelphia will release their 3-song EP titled Anyways on February 5, 2016. The band has been on hiatus since 2007 to focus on other projects so their new songs are highly anticipated.
The Anyways tracklist includes the three following songs: 1. Anyways 2. Quitter 3. Luck. This EP is inspired by the punk rock scene in their hometown of Philly. The songs are a refreshingly new sound of the band and will enrich the spirit of their long-awaited fans.
This is a partial quote from the band’s vocalist/bassist, Kenny Vasoli, that describes his inspiration for the new EP. “…Eventually I started regaining my appetite for punk music. All of the sudden I was throwing on lots of Cloud Nothings, Desaparacidos and Joyce Manor. I was able to identify what aspects I had always loved about punk music and they reignited my desire to create it. Reproaching the band with this initiative allowed my writing process to flow with no resistance…” The Starting Line will play their annual holiday show at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on December 27th.
