A native New Yorker, Scarlett began acting in 1994. Her first role was a small part in the Elijah Wood-led North. Her first major role came in The Horse Whisperer, based on the book of the same name.
Scarlett had two films released in 2003: Lost in Translation, which received rave reviews and Girl with a Pearl Earring, based on the famous Vermeer painting.
Scarlett also made appearances in some of more well-liked films, although they were never as popular as some of her other films. Specifically, The Island opposite Ewan McGregor, The Prestige, and The Other Boleyn Girl.
After seeing Iron Man 2 and realizing how she did a great job at bringing Black Widow to life, I was extremely excited to see her reprise the role in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I still haven’t seen Lucy, but I like the pretend it’s the Black Widow movie we never got.
Scarlett can next be seen in The Jungle Book, as the voice of Kaa, due out in April. Then in May, we get Captain America: Civil War. Yes, Scarlett is on Team Iron Man, but this fan is Team Cap all the way.
