High School Musical 4 Sets Up In Person Open Call Audition

Okay potential wildcats, it’s time to get’cha head in the game, and get’cha dance moves to Anaheim.

Disney Channel is hosting the first in-person open casting call for High School Musical 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center on Sunday, May 15th. The casting call asks for young actors, singers and dancers age 14-17.

Applicants are asked to provide their photo (snapshots are permitted) upon registration at the open call. An application and scene will be provided upon arrival.

The scene introduces us to the potential protagonist of HSM 4, Peyton. The gender of Peyton is not specified; both boys and girls will read for the part. The script pays homage to the original HSM franchise with references to the songs “Start of Something New” and “Get’cha Head In The Game.” Check out the audition script here!

More information about the audition is available at www.DisneyChannel.com/opencall.

For those who can’t make it to the in-person audition, video auditions will be accepted through Monday, May 2, via the Disney Applause App, available on both iOS and Android.

High School Musical 4 will focus on new East High Wildcats and their cross-town school rivals, the West High Knights. DGA Award nominee Jeffrey Hornaday will direct and choreograph the movie, taking the reigns from Kenny Ortega. Hornaday is no stranger to DCOM musicals, as he helmed both Teen Beach Movie and Teen Beach 2.

Also a Teen Beach alum, Dan Berendsen will pen HSM 4 along with returning HSM screenwriter, Peter Barsocchini. Barsocchini has written the previous three movies in the HSM franchise.

If you’re of age, talent and excitement, consider an audition. You could bop right to the top!
