Firestarter Announce June Tour with Living Means

“Have you ever just packed everything you own, and left somewhere you’ve known for so long and traded it in for the unknown?” – Matt LaPerche on “49 Stow”
Albany-based band Firestarter has announced that they will be touring next month with Living Means as a support for numerous shows.
Firestarter is a pop punk band that formed in 2012 following singer/guitarist Matt LaPerche’s big move to Albany. LaPerche has come together with guitarist Mike Held, Daniel Sheehan on bass, and Matt Bliss on drums to impact the pop-punk genre in their own way.
Since their beginnings, they’ve released 3 EP’s, including New Beginnings (2013), Forget the Past (2014), and most recently A Life’s Inconsistent. The latter is a split EP with the band Old Again who hail from Orlando. Now that they’ve had a taste of the thrill of playing for a living, the group has all the more ambition and tenacity to sweep the industry in a blaze of glory, looking to record their debut full-length album in the near future.
Though the band doesn’t have to wait until their first full-length to the catch positive attention from music critics, since they’ve already earned praise from both New Noise Magazine and Under the Gun, already demonstrating that Firestarter is capable of making it big in the industry:
“Firestarter…is definitely ‘the next big thing’ in terms of pop-punk,” states New Noise.
“With a new pop punk band like Firestarter, comparisons to Real Friends, Man Overboard, and the like are inevitable and apt, but…Forget the Past can easily hold its own against both bands’ most recent releases,” claims Under the Gun.
Now Firestarter is looking to expand their audience by touring along the East Coast for a week in June with Living Means of Warwick, Massachusetts. And from the looks of it, Firestarter is delighted to be touring again, especially with the members of Living Means.
“We’re looking forward to getting back out on the road after taking a few months off and seeing some of the northeast we haven’t in a while. Thrilled to be doing this with an awesome up-and-coming band by the name of Living Means, and we are very excited to say we will be playing a brand new song off our upcoming full length at every date as well!” shares the members of Firestarter.
The tour kicks off on June 21st in Binghamton, NY. To purchase a ticket, please visit Firestarter’s web page at firestarterband.com.
