This past April, the Mystery Writers of America was proud to announce the winners of the 2016 Edgar Allan Poe Awards, honoring the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television published or produced in 2015. The Edgar® Awards, widely acknowledged to be the most prestigious awards in the genre, were presented to the winners at their 70th Gala Banquet, April 28, 2016, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York City. The Edgars have a long, rich history, dating back to the 1950’s and honoring such greats as Raymond Chandler, Patricia Highsmith, Ellis Peters, Ross Macdonald, Ellery Queen, John Le Carre, and so many more.
