Abigail Duhon’s New Single “I’m Not Ashamed” to be Released September 2nd

At a mere sixteen-years-old, Abigail Duhon, has already proven to be a veteran musician and actor.  Although she made her film debut in 2013, she is best known for her portrayal of Abby Wheaton in the 2014 film “God is Not Dead”.  She has also worked as a featured actor in “Camp Cool Kids” (2017) and “Caged No More” (January 2016) as well as “God’s Not Dead 2” (April 2016) and “I’m Not Ashamed” (October 2016) the Columbine High School Shooting Story. She continues to add to her resume with other independent films while still building her musical following.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Abigail discovered her passion for music after Hurricane Katrina destroyed her family home and left them barely anything to rebuild. At only six years of age, Abigail awoke one morning to a song in her heart and wrote out lyrics as a reflection on their sudden circumstances. The song was titled “Beautiful” and would become one of the first original songs on her debut EP – “More Than Gold” which was released when she was ten!

Abigail incorporated her passion for music with a beat together with her Christian lyrics and then went on to become one of the youngest artists to have a Christian song reach the top 100 Billboard Singles charts in 2014. Her second album, “Right Now”, combined pop music with EDM and dubstep elements to create an exciting alternative for tweens who were looking to listen to a secular sound with faith-based lyrics.  Abigail received the 2015 “Best Emerging Artist” award from the We Love Christian Music awards which are sponsored by NewReleaseToday.com.

You can listen to and watch Duhon’s latest single below. “I’m Not Ashamed” is the title track to the eponymous movie about the Columbine High School shootings which will be released on October 21, 2016.  Abigail will play the role of ‘Chloe’ in the film.
