Week of September 5: “Star Trek” 50th Anniversary Tribute, Plus All-New Episodes of “Ghost Hunters,” “Paranormal Witness” and “Dark Matter”

This week on Syfy, viewers are in for a treat, if the network’s impressive array of programming is any indication! In addition to hosting a Z Nation marathon on Labor Day, September 5, which will allow fans to catch up on seasons one and two before the two-hour special event on 9/16 and the season three premiere on 9/23, the station will also be airing all-new episodes of some of its most popular shows.

The schedule is as follows:

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

GHOST HUNTERS  “Fighting Spirit” – 9/8c

TAPS is called to investigate a historic armory. An upcoming renovation has those involved fearful the construction might provoke lingering spirits attached to artifacts with documented violent pasts.

PARANORMAL WITNESS  “The Mothman Curse” – 10/9c

A young couple on a sightseeing trip to Point Pleasant enters an old munitions bunker and unwittingly awakens the infamous Mothman – a harbinger of doom that follows them home and subjects them to a reign of terror.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

STAR TREK 50th Anniversary Tribute – ALL DAY *Special Programming*

Calling all Trekkies! Starting at 8am, Syfy is celebrating 50 momentous years of Star Trek with your favorite Star Trek classic movies, on-air trivia, social & digital viewer engagement, and original content from the Star Trek: Mission New York convention. Live long and prosper.

Featuring STAR TREK: VII: GENERATIONS – 3:30/2:30c, STAR TREK VIII: FIRST CONTACT  6/5c, STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME – 8:30/7:30c and encore airings starting at 11/10c.
