Emily Kinney Releases “Back on Love” and “Popsicles”

Most know her as Beth Greene on The Walking Dead, the girl who sang to boost moral in the otherwise dire world that the characters live in, but you may not know that this love for singing transcends into actress and singer-songwriter Emily Kinney’s real life.
Her love for music began at an early age, Kinney commonly singing at talent shows and church, and it is a passion that she has carried with her into adulthood. Her debut EP, Blue Toothbrush, was released in 2011 and set the tone for her music career: upbeat and fun, open and honest. In 2014, Kinney released her second EP Expired Love, which features seven original songs. Two years later, she has just released two new singles, “Back on Love” and “Popsicles.”
The songs are light and fun despite the heaviness of the stories being told. “Back on Love” is akin to being back on drugs – falling in love again with someone who may not be right for you. “Popsicles” continues with the theme of love, only this time deciphering when is the right time to fall in love again and when is the right time to feel comfortable in a relationship.
You can purchase her new songs on iTunes or in 7in vinyl through her online store. And don’t forget to catch Emily Kinney Monday nights as Tess Larson on ABC’s Conviction.
