Elli Moore Releases New Single “Somebody To Talk To”

After the success of her debut single, “Gateway”, Elli Moore is back with another brand new track, “Somebody To Talk To”. This pop track is irresistibly catchy and the production on it is incredible. It definitely should be included on all of your summer playlists.

Elli graciously took some time to answer a few questions about her brand new single. Check out what she had to say!

What inspired “Somebody To Talk To”?

“Somebody To Talk To” was heavily inspired by a conversation we had in the studio the day we wrote it about how hard it can be to be single in LA. Not only is dating tough in general, it‘s just really hard to find people who genuinely care about you and check up on you to see how you are doing. “Somebody To Talk To” is that for me, the idea of being an independent person, but at the end of the day wishing there was someone to notice you and have that vibe with.

What was the songwriting process like for this song? Did it come pretty easily when you started writing it or was it something that took you a long time and kept coming back to it? 

Definitely very easy; we wrote it quickly like we do most songs we love. I feel like when a song is flowing, it happens so fast and just happens. We were really lucky we got such a cool song in such a short day and I ended up wanting to release it.

Was there any major changes to “Somebody To Talk To” that happened once you got into the recording studio, whether it be in the lyrics or something sonically?

Well, originally, the artist Leony cut the demo, so when I got into the studio to cut my version, it was important that I put my own spin on the track. I believe, we kept all of the lyrics the same. I’m excited for everyone to hear it though!
