‘The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2’ recap: A legend bites the dust

Wednesday’s episode of The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2 saw the divide within Team USA deepen as a Challenge legend’s game came to a shocking end.

In case you missed it, here’s what went down in Wednesday night’s show:

American divisions

The division within Team USA deepened as it became Johnny Bananas alliance vs. Cara Maria’s alliance. Despite being on the same team, Cara and Bananas do not like each other, simply because she’s dating Paulie. Banana’s alliance consists of Nany, Tori, Leroy, and Jordan while Cara’s side has Paulie, Kam, Ashley and “Ninja” Natalie.

Josh is stuck in the middle between the two groups, but Paulie assures Josh that if Paulie is team leader, the Americans will stay strong and pick off one of the Brits.

Hang on tight!

Host TJ Lavin then welcomed everyone to this week’s challenge, which saw them jump off a platform in the water and swim back to shore. The team who completed it in the fastest time would win.

The race was close but the Americans pulled out the win. Paulie is elected as speaker and picked Cara Maria (no surprise there) and Jordan to join him in the tribunal.

Nominations turn nasty

At the UK’s nominations, Rogan and Theo went head-to-head as they try to nominate each other. Things get heated between everyone but it is ultimately decided that Theo is going to be up for elimination, which I personally found to be crazy. He is one of the strongest Brits and it would be a big blow to them if he were to go home.

It is up to the tribunal to pick Theo’s opponent, but Cara is not sure if she wants Paulie to keep his word about protecting Team USA. She wants Bananas out for throwing the challenge last week.

A legend says goodbye

At the elimination, Jordan votes for Rogan but Cara and Paulie both throw in Bananas. This week’s elimination saw the guys trapped in a cage. They had to roll the cage around throughout an obstacle course and place numbered tiles in their correct spots.

Johnny was ahead of Theo, but ended up messing up a tile and raced to fix it. He was not fast enough though as Theo pulled ahead for the win. He opted to stay with Team UK, despite his differences with Rogan.
