‘The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2’ recap: Rogan’s betrayal rocks the house

A big betrayal rocked the house on this week’s episode of The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2, leading up to an epic female elimination challenge.

In case you missed it, here’s what went down in the episode:

Celebrate good times (or not)

Let’s be real – this is basically the Paulie and Cara show now; if you try to take them out, their alliance is coming for you. It’s gotten pretty boring, so it was nice to have a break from all of that.

The house throws Tori and Jordan a surprise engagement party and everyone is having a great time. Well, almost everyone. Cara Maria decided to not go to the party because she claims the whole engagement is a sham, but it really comes across as her being jealous. Maybe she knows Paulie will never marry her?

Rogan’s betrayal breaks Dee’s heart

So just from this title alone, you can already guess what happened. But I’m going to break it down. In short, Rogan goes to Paulie and says he’ll throw the next challenge to the Americans if they promise to put Dee up for elimination. So Rogan, after claiming he “loved” Dee, betrays her but doesn’t want to get his hands dirty. I’m sorry, but that’s a coward move.

Later on in the episode, Dee finds out and is heartbroken. I’ve watched Dee on this show for two seasons now and I’ve never seen her break down like that. I felt bad watching her cry and scream. Poor girl.

The US wins again… by default

For this week’s challenge, the players had to navigate an obstacle course on a speedboat through the water and ring a bell once they made it through to the other side. To make things even more difficult, one player from each team will attempt to block the other team’s players as they try to pass.

The girls easily finish and the boys are next. This is where things get interesting as CT makes it clear he’s aligning with Joss and Rogan, who are a part of the big alliance that consists of Leroy, Kayleigh, Kam, Cara, Paulie, Ashley, and Ninja. So CT throws the challenge and makes it really obvious. Host TJ Lavin is clearly unhappy and says the US wins because CT basically threw the challenge.

Kam is nominated as the team speaker and has Nani and Leroy to join her in the tribunal. At the UK nominations, the Brits waste no time throwing Tori in. Rogan later says he ultimately couldn’t go through with his plan because he felt guilty. Again, Rogan is a coward. He didn’t go through with it because he got caught. Let’s just call it what it is.

Two girls brawl

It was my FAVORITE elimination challenge yet – the Hall Brawl. Kam voted in Jenny into elimination as did Leroy (because he’s whipped AF) to face Tori. So we had two of the strongest girls going up against each other.

To be honest, I was pretty worried about Tori at first but she held her own. The first round was so close that TJ had to check the video replay, ultimately giving the point to Tori. The second round saw Tori run over Jenny as she rang the bell and won the competition to stay in the game.
