‘The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2’ recap: There’s a new power couple in the house

This week’s episode of The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2 saw Paulie and Cara keep their foot on the neck of Team USA and two surprising announcements at the elimination.
In case you missed it, here’s a recap of what went down.
Paulie and Cara stay in power
Following Tori switching to Team UK, Paulie and Cara are now in even more control of their team. Let’s be honest, this is not US vs UK anymore. It’s Paulie/Cara’s team vs. Tori’s alliance. So to recap, Team Paulie/Cara is comprised of them plus Ninja Natalie, Kam, Ashley, and Leroy. Meanwhile, you’ve got Tori’s alliance that consists of Jordan, Josh, Zach, and Nany. So, it’s safe to say the odds of Tori’s team getting to end are slim to none.
Hang on to that wall!
For this week’s challenge, the players are up on six climbing walls 35 feet above the water. They must transfer tiles from the side of the wall to their matching positions on the wall and the team to get the most tiles transferred wins.
The US got off to a strong start as they collected 10 tiles. Meanwhile, the Brits were pathetic as hell. Kayleigh is scared of heights and water, so she refused to even do the challenge. As a result, Team UK ended up transferring just four tiles.
After being tasked to select a speaker, it comes as no surprise that Paulie is the one elected. He selected Cara (no surprise) and Zach to join him in the tribunal. With Cara and Paulie’s alliance in control, it became obvious that either Josh or Jordan would be put up for elimination alongside Theo.
Pound that nail
This week’s elimination required Theo and Jordan to smash 12 nails hard enough to break the light bulbs under them. The first guy to smash all 12 bulbs would win and stay in the game. Theo started off strong and took the lead over Jordan but as that saying goes: it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
Jordan works in construction, so was this challenge really fair? I’ll let you guys decide on that one. Anyway, Jordan smashes through to take the lead as Theo begun to tire out. Jordan ultimately pulled away and took home the win.
He wasn’t done yet. Before deciding on what he would do in the game, he got done on one knee and proposed to Tori. She said yes, obviously, and Jordan joined his fiancé on Team U.K.
