Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson confirm ‘RHOC’ exits

The Real Housewives of Orange County is losing two long-time cast members. On Friday, Vicki Gunvalson announced her departure from the reality franchise after 14 seasons and Saturday saw Tamra Judge say goodbye to the show after 12 seasons.
Gunvalson was demoted in Season 14 to “friend” status as opposed to being a full-fledged member of the cast. At the season 14 reunion, the 57-year-old businesswoman claimed she was lied to by production, which prompted her to file a defamation lawsuit against Bravo. She was so angry that she stormed off set. Later, she apologized in an interview after the show.
“It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want to thank all of you for your support, for your love and for ‘whooping it up’ with me along the way,” Gunvalson said on her Instagram.
Judge announced her departure from the franchise on Saturday after 12 seasons. According to E! News, producers offered Judge three episodes to wrap up her storyline and say goodbye to the ladies on camera but she declined to be demoted and have her role reduced.
“It’s been a wild 12 years,” Judge said on Instagram. “But it’s time for me to move on. I’m sad to go but I’m very excited about my future.”
