Cover Wars: Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran began recording music in 2005, releasing multiple EPs in the UK but gaining no solid traction. In 2010 Sheeran bought a plane ticket to L.A. and began playing open mic nights. He was eventually noticed by Jamie Foxx. In 2011 the hit song “The A Team” was released in the UK and gained Sheeran European success. However, it wasn’t until 2012 when “The A Team” was released in the US, as well as touring with Taylor Swift that Sheeran became popular in America

Ed Sheeran has done ample covers throughout his career and continues to do them during concerts and radio interviews. In honor of Sheeran’s vast cover library, this week’s edition of Cover Wars will only feature one artist but multiple songs covered by that artist, this artist being Ed Sheeran.
