Newcomer Shanice Williams cast as Dorothy in NBC’s “The Wiz”!

18 year old-New Jersey native, Shanice Williams has been cast as Dorothy in NBC’s live holiday production of “The Wiz” airing Dec. 3.

After a nationwide search, Williams was selected out of hundreds of applications. She has five years of extensive, musical and dance experience. She’s also has starred in local productions of “West Side Story”, “42nd Street” and “Pippin”.
Shanice joins an all-star cast including Queen Latifiah, Mary J. Blige, David Allan Grier and from the original Broadway production of “The Wiz,”, Stephanie Mills.
