ATX Television Festival, the first festival devoted to television’s history and future, is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row, in addition to the festival’s traditional panels and screenings, they will also host free community events during their TV-filled weekend. For ATX Television Festival’s second season, they will be bringing back beloved community events from season one – the community outdoor screening of Friday Night Lights, presented by Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow and Hotel San Jose,and Saturday Morning Cartoons, presented by Hasbro Studios.

Friday Night Lights Community Outdoor Screening
Date: Friday, June 7th – 6 PM CST
Location: Hotel San Jose, 1316 S. Congress Ave
Confirmed Talent in Attendance: Scott Porter, Matt Lauria, Louanne Stephens, David Hudgins, Gaius Charles, W.G. Snuffy Walden, and Stephanie Hunt
Musical Performances will include: Phoebe Hunt and band with special guest Crucifictorious band member, Stephanie Hunt.
On Friday, June 7th, ATX Television Festival continues a burgeoning tradition with a Free Community Outdoor Screening of Friday Night Lights presented with Alamo Rolling Roadshow and Hotel San Jose. The evening kicks off at 6pm with live music on Jo’s back porch with tents featuring various “tailgating” activities. At sunset, after an intro from attending cast and crewmembers, attendees will watch a fan favorite episode determined by vote. RSVP for the Friday Night Lights Community Outdoor Screening and be sure to cast a vote for your favorite episode of the hit series. Votes and RSVPs can be submitted here. Come join ATX Television Festival and Scott Porter, Matt Lauria, Louanne Stephens, David Hudgins, Gaius Charles, W.G. Snuffy Walden, and Stephanie Hunt (with additional cast to be announced!). Saturday Morning Cartoons: Pancakes, Ponies, Pets & Bots!

The festival’s second free, family-friendly community event is another second year tradition — Saturday Morning Cartoons presented by Hasbro Studios. ATX Television Festival and Hasbro Studios encourage you to come in your pajamas (both little and BIG kids), grab some pancakes, and KIND granola, before snuggling up on blankets to enjoy episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Littlest Pet Shop and Transformers: Rescue Bots. Special giveaways provided by Hasbro Studios! While attendance (and breakfast) is free, please RSVP here if you plan to attend.
