General Hospital There’s a new Spencer in Town: Meet Valerie

General Hospital suffered a major blow to one of it’s core families.

With the departure of Anthony Geary as Luke Spencer, the clan needed another Spencer to keep Port Charles hopping. Enter Valerie, played by Brytni Sarpy.

Valerie Spencer made her debut last spring as the daughter of Patricia Spencer, the unheard of older sister to Luke and Bobbie. It was revealed that Patricia protected Luke after he killed their parents. Shortly after her arrival in Port Charles, Patricia passed away, leaving Valerie to fend for herself in a new town and with a family she hardly knew.

Valerie’s storyline progressed and she has quickly become a fan favorite. Part of the reason is due to her relationship with her cousin Lulu’s husband, Dante. Fans have even named the couple ‘Vante’. The fandom has been divided into two camps supporting either ‘Desilu’ (Dante/Lulu) or Vante.

It looks Valerie like and her portrayer, Brytni Sarpy are here to stay!
