Where Are They Now: “The Little Rascals” Edition

Screen Shot 2016-05-17 at 3.02.33 PMNearly twenty-two years ago, the children’s classic The Little Rascals premiered in theaters, endearing itself to audiences across the country. Based on Hal Roach’s Our Gang, a series of short films which were eventually incorporated into the original 1950s television show, the movie featured the beloved cast of characters in an updated setting and gave them new challenges to face. Nevertheless, the nostalgia factor was prominent enough to attract old fans as well as new ones; after all, who could resist revisiting Spanky, Buckwheat, Alfalfa, Darla and the whole “He Man Woman Haterz Club” and going on adventures with them once again?

Without a doubt, the film and its cherished group of youngsters remain near and dear to our hearts, so much so that the cast seems frozen in time. However, this is not the case; even though we might not want to believe it, the young actors and actresses have grown up and moved on to other things. So, where are the cast of The Little Rascals now? Let’s find out!

Last but not least, we have Sam Saletta, who played Butch in The Little Rascals! Saletta guest-starred on the shows Touch Target, Not Necessarily the Election, Beverly Hills 90210, Recess, Touched by an Angel, King of the Hill, 7th Heaven, Rocket Power, Rugrats and ER. He also landed roles in the films Some Girl and Dreamers. Finally, he provided voice-acting for the video games Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

  1. I think Courtland Mead looks one million times better as a young man than as a little kid! I do hope he had his adenoids fixed or something because he sounded like he had a bad cold when he was younger. I felt sorry for him because he couldn’t close his mouth properly and looked like Napoleon Dynamite.

  2. As a Clinical Psychologist. I strongly suspect that his childhood anxiety levels contributed to a Thumb sucking career that deformed his teeth. I am astonished that he is as handsome as he is since his chances of leaving a cute childhood way behind seemed so likely.
