It was 2011 when The Commuters burst onto the scene with their EP As I Make My Way. As they gained notoriety, the band released their only full-length album to date, Rescue. Throughout this period, The Commuters drew attention from college radio stations around the country and media outlets like mtvU and PureVolume.

Finally, after four long years, the band has announced a return with their latest offering, Before I Was Born featuring the band’s latest single “You’ll Stay Right Here.”

“We’ve been away for a little bit and are excited to get back [and] reconnect with our fans,”  said frontman Zeeshen Zidi of Before I Was Born. “This EP has just 4 songs but a lot of life has happened in our time off, so it’s very personal and covers a lot of ground – creation, mortality, struggle, and hope.”

Before I Was Born promises to continue the band’s aspiration of fusing a variety of influences to create an engagingly unique sound for their audience. Before I Was Born will be released August 12 on Communal Records. For a sneak peek, check out the “You’ll Stay Right Here” video below.
