Melodime Kicks off Fall 2016 Tour on August 21

Americana-rock band, Melodime, will be kicking off the fall leg of their 2016 tour this Sunday, August 21st, with a special co-headline show at The Hamilton in Washington, DC alongside The Delta Saints. This hometown show will be the first date of a busy touring schedule that will include three dates supporting Ron Pope, one date supporting Corey Smith and 18 headline shows around the East Coast, Southeast and Midwest. Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase, here: http://www.melodime.com/tour.
This latest string of dates comes in support of Melodime’s new single, “Little Thing Called Love”. Produced by Rick Beato (Parmalee, NeedToBreathe) at Black Dog Sound in Stone Mountain, GA, “Little Thing Called Love” has been lauded by both fans and critics alike. Tune Collective describes the track as a “fun song bursting with vibrant uplifting energy,” while Kings of A&R featured the band as a “buzzing” act. In addition, Floyd Magazine says Melodime creates “a unique brand of Southern-flavored rock that celebrates the musical past while foreshadowing the sounds of the future.” “Little Thing Called Love” is available now, here.
Melodime merges a very subtle country riff with good, solid rock and roll, successfully blending bittersweet piano melodies with catchy guitar riffs and sing-along, emotionally vibrant choruses. Performing 125+ shows annually throughout the continental United States, the band has shared the stage with well-known acts such as Sam Hunt, Jonny Lang, A Thousand Horses and Sister Hazel. Melodime has also left its mark internationally with performances in Mexico, Canada, and Europe, all while founding and running a charity, ‘Now I Play Along Too,’ which provides musical instruments and lessons to underprivileged children in the DC area, Florida, and Haiti. For more information on the charity, visit the band’s website, www.melodime.com. The band is quickly becoming a fan-favorite in the festival scene, playing three consecutive “Rock Boat” cruises, alongside acts like Gavin DeGraw, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and NeedToBreathe.
In their hometown of Northern Virginia, the group has performed at popular venues such as Jammin Java, The State Theatre and the 9:30 Club. Melodime’s previous albums were recorded with platinum-selling producers, including Where the Sinners & the Saints Collide with Rick Beato (Parmalee, NeedToBreathe), and 3 Reasons For Fighting with Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Cowboy Mouth). In December 2015 the band released The B-Room Diaries Volume III: The Underdogs, their self-produced collection of B-sides, featuring collected and new material, and features some of their favorite artists as guest musicians.
Lead singer Brad Rhodes has said, “There are so many bands trying to do the same thing. But we want to do something with our lives beyond the music to show people that you don’t have to be famous to make an impact in this world.” They do their best to live their slogan, “Make an album, change a life.”
Melodime is Brad Rhodes (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Sammy Duis (piano, organ, bass), Tyler Duis (drums) and Jon Wiley (backing vocals, guitar, mandolin, dobro).
