The Maine Release Third Brand New Music Video Off of 2015’s American Candy

Currently spending their summer on the entirety of the Vans Warped Tour, The Maine have released the third music video from their latest full-length, American Candy. The video, for single “Another Night On Mars” premiered exclusively via VEVO. Fittingly, the song is the last track on the album – and will serve as the final music video from this album cycle. The band will head into the studio this fall to begin work on their next release (expected 2017).
Differing from the last two, this music video features live footage of the band and their fans in a more natural way, instead of following a traditional scripted storyline. It captures candid moments between band members in behind the scenes footage from a show – and builds up to the climatic live footage which embodies the energy that the band’s live set has become known for. The audio for the majority of the video is the standard among music videos – the album version of the song – but in a unique twist it finishes off with the chorus live from the performance chanted by both fans and the band alike. Of the concept, drummer Pat Kirch weighs in:
We knew that we needed to make a video for ‘Another Night On Mars’ after playing the song live for the first time. The 8123 family [the fans] have adopted it as an anthem and it represents everything we are trying to do as a band. A simple video showing us and those who have helped us build a community was the perfect fit to close out another chapter.
The Maine also recently announced their final live performance of 2016 – to be held in an intimate club setting for an extended headlining set. The band will perform at the Studio at Webster Hall in New York City live on September 23rd. Fans can purchase tickets here.
