BATMAN #9 Takes the Dark Knight to an Even Darker Place

Starting in October with BATMAN #9, the “I am Suicide” story arc takes Batman down a dark path in order to save Gotham Girl. From the creative minds of Tom King and Mikel Janin, BATMAN #9 sees Batman trying to hold on to “the one last remnant of hope he has in issue #1,” which is Claire. Says King, “It’s Batman forming his own Suicide Squad. It’s Batman working with Amanda Waller, going into Arkham Asylum and picking out a special team to accomplish a mission that he can’t do on his own or with the Justice League.”
Batman needs Psycho Pirate to save Claire, and Psycho Pirate happens to be in Bane’s possession. Bane, who lives in his own country, in one of the deadliest prisons in mankind. Batman will use his Suicide Squad to bring Psycho Pirate back so he can save Claire.
BATMAN #9 arrives October 19th, 2016, written by Tom King with art and cover by Mikel Janin, colors by June Chung, letters by Clayton Cowles. Final order cutoff at your local comic book store is Monday, September 26th.
