Ashleigh Murray is officially saying goodbye to Riverdale as she prepares to star in the show’s upcoming spinoff.

The CW announced late Tuesday that Katy Keene has been given a series order. The show will see Murray star alongside Lucy Hale in one of three new series coming to the network.

The show follows aspiring fashion designer Katy Keene (Hale) in New York City where she meets Josie McCoy (Murray), who is new to the city after arriving from the small town of Riverdale to chase her dreams. Along the way, the pair will make new friends as they let nothing stop them from making their dreams a reality.

Riverdale creator and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will serve as producer of the spinoff, which will make the transition for Murray that much easier.
