Single Review: Elizabeth Donald’s “Easier to Apologize”

Elizabeth Donald’s new single “Easier to Apologize” is easily one of the most – if not the most – stunning singles released this year.
Written by Hillary Lindsey and produced by John McBride, Dan Huff, David Huff and Dan Dugmore, the Australian country artist sings about how we all have times of stress and unhappiness, but at the end of the day, life is too short to hold grudges so it’s easier to just apologize.
As I mentioned, the song is one of the most stunning singles to be released this year. Her voice is raw and beautiful and the perfect compliment to such vulnerable yet relatable lyrics penned by Lindsey. Don’t believe me? The song even has the approval of the legendary David Foster.
The track was recorded at the famed Blackbird Studios in Nashville. When she recorded the track, Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello were on either side of her recording studio, so she was certainly in great company that day.
If “Easier To Apologize” is any indication of what’s to come, I’m certain she will have a successful career in country music.
