‘America’s Got Talent’ recap: Which acts did America send to the semifinals?

After the first live show of the season, America finally made their voices heard as seven acts moved forward on Wednesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent.
The results show started off with a big announcement from host Terry Crews. He informed the viewers that there would be no judges vote this week due to a technical glitch on the official AGT app, meaning that the fans’ vote would hold all the power. He then announced Sophie Pecora, Ansley Burns, and Emerald Belles were in the bottom three and in danger of going home.
Following a performance from AGT alums Bianca Ryan, Brian King Joseph, and Sofie Dossi, Terry returned to deliver the first big result of the night. He revealed that Alex Dowis, Luke Islam, Kodi Lee, and Voices of Service were the first four acts heading to the semifinals.
Season 13 and AGT Champions winner Shin Lim returned to the stage for a cool magic trick with legendary talk show host Jay Leno. While I love Shin’s magic, he took longer than usual to get to the trick but it was still pretty cool.
Terry returned to announce the next two acts safe were Greg Morton and the Messoudi Brothers. Finally, the Dunkin Save result saw the viewers save Ansley Burns as she became the final act to advance. If you look back at my recap of Tuesday night, I correctly predicted six of the seven acts that went through – not bad!
