‘America’s Got Talent’ recap: Which acts did enough to earn a place in the semifinals?

After a tough night of competition on Tuesday night’s episode of America’s Got Talent, it was time for America to make their voices heard as the final seven acts advanced to the semifinals.
Wednesday’s results show kicked off with host Terry Crews announcing that comedian Jackie Fabulous, dog act Lukas and Flaco, and guitarist Marcin Patrzalek were in the bottom three and would be taking part in the live Dunkin Save. The reveal was surprising since I fully expected both Jackie and Marcin to go straight through.
Terry then announced that Detroit Youth Choir would be advancing to the semifinals followed by child singer Emanne Beasha and magicians Eric Chien and Dom Chambers.
Before getting to the final results of the night, Terry revealed that for the first time in show history, there will be a guest judge at the semifinal stage of the competition. However, we will have to wait until next week to see exactly who it is. He then revealed that Benicio Bryant will also be performing in the semifinals.
After a lengthy commercial break, it was announced Jackie Fabulous had won the live Dunkin’ Save vote and will be seen again in the semifinals. It was then down to the judges to decide the fate between Lukas and Flaco and Marcin Patrzalek. Howie, Gabrielle, and Simon all chose Marcin Patrzalek, making him the final act to advance.
Did the voters get it right? Let me know in the comments below!
America’s Got Talent continues next Tuesday night at 8/7c with the first round of semifinals LIVE from the Dolby Theatre with host Terry Crews.
