‘The Masked Singer’ Recap: The Swan Is Unmasked In Group C Playoffs

The Masked Singer continued on Wednesday night as the final members of Group C competed for the chance to move on to the group championship round next week.

Which celebrity was unmasked this week? Let’s dive into this recap and find out.

The first up was the gold moon man who gave a hint in his clue package that his song was from a “dear friend”. He sang Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and had a much better pitch and tone. As someone who loves country music, I think I know who this is.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: Country music star Hunter Hayes

Night Angel

Next up was the Night Angel, who has the best voice in this competition in my opinion. Her clue package saw her saying “Destiny led me back to the stage”. She sang Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons” and showed off the beautiful and effortless tone. This makes me feel happier about my guess.

Who is behind the mask? My choice: Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss

Everyone’s favorite dinosaur was up next and in her clue package she said: “If you dream big, your face can be anywhere.” She sang Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It” and her performance was child-like; you can easily tell this is someone young. A quick YouTube search quickly ID’d this person for me.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: YouTube personality JoJo Siwa

I love Swan’s but this singing bird had the worst performance of the evening. She sang “I Hate Myself for Loving You” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and if I’m being honest, the best part was when the song ended.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: I have no clue! I’m stumped

The final performance of the night came from the Rhino, who says his wife “saved him from hitting rock bottom”. He sang Niall Horan’s “Nice to Meet Ya” really well and his voice is actually decent. He doesn’t move like a trained dancer or anything, so this tells me he is a natural singer but not necessarily a performer.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: Singer Andy Grammar

The Unmasking

After all the performances, host Nick Cannon returned to deliver the results. He announced that the Swan had gotten the fewest votes from the audience (and rightfully so!). Before she left, shew was unmasked and revealed to be actress Bella Thorne.
